Sound house is a 4 bedroom villa with views over Silly creek, Turks and Caicos.
James Hamilton Architects were appointed to create a home that stood in harmony with the rock it’s dug into.
A challenging site on a hill, we were able to use that to an advantage by creating a large storage basement and bedroom suite which is dug into the hill leaving the living space, pool deck and remaining bedroooms on the upper level.
From the interior, we were able to create a unique crossed member design with the roof rafters whilst keeping a focus on budget. With a simple materials palette, the focus is on framing the view out to the sound and painting the interior spaces with light.
Given our clients were based remotely in Texas, we were able to give them design reviews using VR technology and they were able to feel an unparralled experience of their future space. See the post here.
On the exterior, the hot tub, infinity pool and fire pit all contribute to a luxurious ocean-side lifestyle of which our clients are very excited to enjoy in the coming year.
